How do I sign up for your mobile software?

Before you can use our free mobile software, you must have an account. Register online (or contact us if you have any difficulties) to setup your account and banking information.

Do I need a separate account for your wireless application/service?

Absolutely not. Once you register for an account through our website, you can use the same account information to login through our mobile software.

Does it matter which carrier network provider I use?

Absolutely not. Our mobile software works with WAP and any carrier network standard – CDMA and GPRS – this network compatibility is transparent to you. As long as there is data service in your area, you will be able to use our mobile software.

Is my personal data secure?

Security is very important to us. Full 128-bit end-to-end encryption technology is used during wireless transactions to ensure your personal information/data is safe between your mobile device and our servers. Your account information is stored on our back-end systems – not on the mobile software.

How do I confirm which mobile device or phone I have?

Generally, the model number is printed on your device. You can also refer to the original packing material, the user manual, the battery or the manufacturer’s website for this information.

How much does your wireless service/software cost?

Our mobile software is FREE to use and download. The only additional charges you may incur include data fees (per amount of MBytes transferred), data plan fees (flat rate unlimited data wireless plan) and roaming fees. Always check with your carrier network provider for details.

What if I have any other mobile questions that are not answered in this section?

Please CONTACT US and we will attempt to assist you with all reasonable requests. For specific information related to your mobile phone or device, the mobile operating system, or carrier network providers, we recommend that you contact the respective company to obtain additional information.

What are the general system requirements for mobile phones and mobile devices?

 - Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2003 or higher. That includes Windows Mobile 5.0.
 - Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 or higher. That includes Windows Mobile 5.0.
 - Palm OS 4.0 or higher.
 - Java enabled phones.
 - WAP browers (limited functionality).

Why can’t I login to your mobile software with my existing username and password?

1. Your account was suspended. Please contact us for details.
2. You may have entered in the wrong username and password. 3. The date setting on your Windows Mobile (PocketPC, Smartphone) device is not current and may have reset or is set to a date before the registration dates of the SSL security certificate included within the wireless software.

Please ensure that your device is set to the current date if your account was NOT suspended. For instructions on setting the date on your Windows Mobile (PocketPC, Smartphone) device, please refer to your user device manual or manufacturer website for details.

Why can’t I connect to your mobile software? The mobile software displays, “There was a problem contacting the server”.

1. Please make sure that your mobile device is set to the current date. Your mobile device may reset if there is a low battery indicator reading. If this happens, the date reverts to the factory default date which would prevent you from connecting to our wireless software (see question above).
2. The network signal strength indicator may be weak in a particular area and as such may cause problems with your data wireless connection. This is commonly experienced with cell phone calls moving between ‘dead zones’.
3. Because wireless is radio technology, even sunspot activity may interfere with your data wireless connection.

Why can’t I use your wireless software on my PalmOS-powered mobile device after an automatic shut-off?

PalmOS has a feature in Preferences > General which turns the PalmOS device off automatically. Currently, shut-off options include 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes and 3 minutes of idle time before the device shuts off.

If you are currently connected to our wireless software, the auto-off feature will disconnect the PalmOS device from a data wireless service. In this instance, you must exit our wireless software and re-start to login and wager. This characteristic is only common to PalmOS devices through a data wireless connection. Disconnection does not occur with Wi-Fi.

Please ensure that your device is set to the current date if your account was NOT suspended. For instructions on setting the date on your PalmOS device, please refer to your user device manual or manufacturer website for details.

I’ve downloaded your java software but cannot seem to connect wirelessly?

Currently, most phones are configured to access the wireless Internet through a WAP gateway. As such, at time of purchase, your phone has the profile set for this type of connectivity. To download our Java software, you were asked to enter a specific web address(e.g. http://mobile.skytowercasino.com). This process takes place over a WAP gateway.

After the Java software is downloaded to your phone, you may have tried to login and got an error similar to the one listed below:

There was a problem connecting to the HTTP server. {ex=Phone Dependent Error Here... }

If you received this error, your phone does not have automatic switching between a WAP gateway connection and a data wireless connection (GPRS). As such, you must create a new profile that contains the appropriate information for a GPRS data wireless setting. Once created, you must set your web sessions profile to the data wireless connection setting so that you can login to the Java wireless software using your existing account information. Note: This does not apply to mobile phones that operate over CDMA2000/1X data wireless networks.

If you decide to use the phone browser again to access web pages, you must change your connection profile back to the original setting.

Newer mobile phones on GPRS networks now have automatic switching so that manual configurations won’t be necessary. The only way to know this is to actually try. If you get the error (as shown above), you will need to create a new profile and change the settings manually. Some mobile phones for GPRS networks even allow you to set the connection type for applications thereby eliminating the need for manual switching – please check your user manual for details.

Okay, so I need to create a new profile for web sessions on my mobile phone when using a (GPRS) data wireless connection. So what are the settings for my new data wireless profile?

This information must be obtained from your mobile phone provides. Below, please find the data wireless settings for two major mobile phone providers. Refer to your phone user manual on how to add settings for your web sessions.
